Congratulations to Glen Purdam (Class of 2005) who was recently recognised for his fire fighting efforts from 2019/2020, Orroral Valley fires.
After a couple of hard years, Glen Purdam (Class of 2005) shared with us that he recently got a job at SAAB in Sweden flying a Fire-Boss.
Glen currently lives in Norway with his fiancé and daughter and works in Sweden as a firefighting pilot. “It’s been a big journey”, Glen shared.
The firefighting season is about to get underway in Sweden. In 2019 we shared footage of Glen Purdam fighting the 2019-20 Black Summer Fires.
Glen recently received two medals recognising his efforts fighting the Orroral Valley fire in 2019/2020 by the ACT Government.
