The unofficial 25 year reunion by Rohan Samara (Class of 1993)

Posted 29 Oct, 2018

Class of 1993 could not wait for their 30 year reunion after they had had so much fun catching up at their 20 year reunion.... so the "unofficial 25 year reunion was born".

During our 20 year reunion, there was talk of not leaving it another 10 years to get together and thus the idea of an ‘unofficial’ 25 year Reunion was born.  A bit like the Rebelfordian……the ‘unofficial’ year book.  Having helped out a bit with the 10 year, 20 year and now the 25 year reunions, life is getting easier with Facebook!  (Trying to find people for the 10 year one with only outdated email and postal addresses was a job and a half!)  In total there was 16 of us including a special guest appearance from our old teacher Mr Foulcher which was a great surprise.  Many a great conversation and catching up was had in a small restaurant called the Banana Leaf in Kingston where we pretty much took over the whole place.  We did feel sorry for the couples that were there for a quiet dinner for two as the Radford mob was quite boisterous…..how can you not be when seeing people that you haven’t for 10, 20 or even 25 years!  I felt it was a little surreal being surrounded by school friends that I remember so fondly ….yet we were all in mature adult bodies!!  It was great to catch up with everyone and already look forward to the 30 year reunion even more.
