International Women’s Day: Give To Gain
March 04 07:00am – 08:35amMorison Centre, Radford College
Join us this International Women’s Day for a special morning celebrating confidence, connection and the power of finding your voice.
Aligned with this year’s theme, Give to Gain, the event will explore how sharing experiences, support others and stepping into leadership can shape your future at school and beyond. This is an opportunity to hear real stories, ask questions and gain insight into what leadership, courage and self-belief look like in everyday life.
We are proud to welcome our keynote speaker, Chiaka Barry MLA, who will speak on finding your voice, leadership, courage and changing the story. Her talk will encourage students to think about their own values, strengths and the role they can play in creating positive change.
Following the keynote, students will hear from a panel of three inspiring Radford Collegians who once sat where you are now:
- Jacinta Maddigan (Class of 2003)
- Ashleigh Foster (Class of 2005)
- Kate Lis-Clarke (Class of 2008)
They will share honest reflections on their school journeys, challenges they’ve faced, lessons learned and how confidence, resilience and support have shaped their paths since leaving Radford. Questions will be asked by our Community Captains, making the discussion relatable and engaging.
This event is designed to be inclusive, welcoming and empowering, encouraging Year 10, 11 and 12 students to reflect on their own potential and the importance of supporting one another.
All ticket purchases will be donated to Possible Dreams International, an Australian-based charity supporting women and children in rural and remote communities in Eswatini through education, healthcare and community-led initiatives.
We look forward to welcoming you to a meaningful and inspiring morning as we mark International Women’s Day together.
Tickets include breakfast. Secure your ticket here.
