Celebrating Success with Felicity Harley (nee Percival, Class of 1993)

Posted 31 Mar, 2020

On the 28th April, Felicity will launch her first book “Balance & other B.S”. This is the book for you if you’re overwhelmed or a little off kilter.

Felicity is one of the most recognised, awarded and inspiring editors in Australia, just some of her notable achievements was in 2007 when she launched Women’s Health magazine as the founding editor and in 2012, Felicity was named in Westpac’s 100 Women of Influence for her initiative around the ‘Support Women in Sport’ campaign which aimed to bring media coverage to female athletes.

Felicity remains nostalgic about her Radford days. She shared that aside from the teachers and the classes, she recalls the fun that she and her friends had in the Year 11 and 12 common rooms, which was the place to mingle, chat and high five each other between classes, practical jokes played in the locker rooms, the make-shift cricket pitch, to the microwave being used by people to heat their putrid-smelling lunches (and everyone knowing about it).

I have been following Felicity on Instagram for the last few weeks, she is the proud mum of three children who make regular appearances in her very uplifting and witty posts. As a mum myself, I find a lot of the quotes and memes she shares relatable. As we all go through one of the toughest experiences in our (certainly in my) lifetime there was one quote Felicity shared that really resonated with me – sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.

On the 28th April, Felicity will launch her first book “Balance & other B.S”. This is the book for you if you’re overwhelmed or a little off kilter. You seek balance. You want to offload (some of) your mental load. You’re stressed. You’re fed up. You’re a feminist (or not). You’re into wellness (or not). You have kids (or not). You simply want a great. The book, Felicity adds has a shedload of smart, inspiring women – from leading health experts, psychologists, feminism, celebrities and a group of her own friends.

If you want to feel empowered, I encourage you to pre-order your copy now.

We congratulate Felicity on her achievements and wish her all the success for her first book launch!
