A Legacy of Service: Honouring Mark Whitby (Class of 2000)
On Saturday, the Radford College community had the privilege of recognising one of its most dedicated and enduring supporters, Mark Whitby, Class of 2000, with the naming of a boat in his honour at the annual Blessing of the Fleet.

Mark’s connection to Radford spans decades and reflects a remarkable commitment to the life of the College. As a student, Collegian, parent, and Board member, he has contributed to the growth and success of Radford in countless ways. His willingness to give his time, expertise and leadership has helped strengthen our community and support future generations of students.
Few individuals have had the opportunity to serve the College across so many facets of community life. Mark’s journey from student to Collegian, and later as a parent and Board member, is testament to his deep connection with Radford and his belief in the value of a Radford education.
The naming of the boat serves as a fitting tribute to Mark’s years of service, advocacy and generosity. It recognises not only what he has contributed, but also the lasting impact he has had on the College and the many people who have benefited from his dedication.
On behalf of the entire Radford community, we congratulate Mark on this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his outstanding contribution to the College over many years.
