Introducing the 2025 Radford Collegians Soccer Team

On Wednesday, 28 May, Radford College proudly revived a cherished tradition with a spirited and high-energy soccer match between our talented Year 12 footballers and a passionate team of Radford College Collegians. The event brought together a vibrant crowd of current students, collegians, staff, and families, all united by a shared love of sport and community.

Spearheaded by our dedicated College Football Captains, this friendly match was more than just a game — it was a powerful celebration of connection across generations. We were especially honoured to welcome Tom Rogic, former Australian Socceroo, Celtic player, and proud Radford collegian from the Class of 2010. Tom attended as our Radford College Football Ambassador, offering encouragement from the sidelines and inspiring our young athletes with his presence.

The match itself was a thrilling contest, with the Year 12 team securing a hard-fought 2–1 victory, much to the delight of their supporters. The game was expertly officiated by Mr Mitch Stevens, Head of Football, and showcased the exceptional sportsmanship and skill of both teams.

The Collegians team featured a dynamic mix of ex-students, with collegians ranging from the Class of 1992 through to 2023, adding depth and experience to the field.

This exciting match marks just the beginning of a series of intergenerational games planned throughout the year, all building towards a grand final showdown at our Twilight Fete on Saturday, 1 November.

We look forward to continuing to nurture these meaningful connections and celebrate the enduring spirit of the Radford community through events that honour our past and energise our future.
