What does life look for you now?
I live in Squamish, a small mountain town in BC Canada that is 1 hour north of Vancouver and half an hour south of world famous ski resort Whistler Blackcomb.
This has been home for the better part of the last 16 years, however through my climbing and designing interests I have traveled extensively. Between 2005-2010 I spent most of my time living in China working in factories that make outdoor equipment, like tents, sleeping bags and packs.
I am an entrepreneur, designer and climber.
Over the past two decades I have climbed a handful of first ascents in remote mountain locations around the world, challenging my self and fulfilling many life long dreams. Most recently I started Paragliding, so now I am climbing up and flying down !!
In 2012 I started a design consulting firm Design House Collective, based out of my home town Squamish BC Canada. We provide R&D , design, engineering, branding, marketing, sourcing, development and graphics for clients all over the world. Our specialty is textile products, sport fashion and outdoor equipment.
Most recently I have started two new brands:
Grade VII Equipment , a technical alpine climbing and big wall climbing equipment company that manufactures specialized climbing tools.
grade7equipment.ca
Cardamon , a brand of wallets, bags and luggage made from a proprietary material we developed called MeridianShell (tm).

I am the founder, CEO and lead designer in these business's.
Right now I am in the process of building a fourth business called "Shape It", a factory based in Taiwan that manufactures high end textile products using sewing, welding and heat press.
When I grow up I and start my next career, I will be a coach leading transformation and human development.
I am very lucky to have the mountains at my door step here in Canada. In this small town the community is a lot like I found the community or Radford growing up. Lots of genuine, loving people that are all connected.
It is rare for me to visit Australia these days and it's been years since I was in Canberra, however when ever I do Radford is a place that sits at the front of my mind. Those formative years were the start of everything I have been up to since the last day of year 12 and the friendships I made have lasted a lifetime spanning oceans and generations.
Tell us what you are passionate about?
Since I was 7 years old I have been passionate about the outdoors. During my high school years at Radford College I got into rock climbing and designing outdoor equipment. Since then I have created a career and lifestyle out of these two hobbies. My passions include: Big Wall Climbing, Exploring, Design, Cooking, Business and Human Development.
When you were young, what were you hoping to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a professional climber, a designer and a business entrepreneur. Most of all I wanted to be happy.
What is your favourite Radford moment?
I always liked the swimming carnival coz it was a day at the pool. The Outward Bound hike in grade 9 stands out as an awesome moment for me. Mr Leyshon and his faulty towers walk. The Warrambungles outdoors trip. Playing music with Jordan, Felicity and Graham in our band in the quadrangle at school is one of my favorite memories of Radford. Most of all it's the moments I shared with friends and the journey we all made together migrating to independence.
