What does life look for you now?
I am one half of the phenomenon that is Moxom and Whitney . My days are filled with incredible beauty but run at a break neck pace. We’ve worked with the most amazing celebrities, royalty, politicians, artists, creatives...honestly it’s astounding to think of what we’ve done and from the most humble of beginnings. We teach floristry and terrarium classes and often demonstrate in front of large audiences and I always use that infamous stare of my most loved English teacher - Mr Rose, when our students get just a wee bit rowdy!
I’m happily married to Dale and have a 24 year old son - William, he is in the Australian Army and posted in Brisbane and a 23 year old daughter - Victoria who is the mother of my beautiful 10 month old grandson - Bear. She is currently studying for a degree in nursing and midwifery.
We live in Yass and life is pretty damned grand.
I loved my Radford days and I still call Justine Mantel my best friend.
What is your favourite Radford moment?
The friendship. I made some amazing friends back then and I loved that we were age and sex inclusive- didn’t matter if you were a year or two behind or more senior. Didn’t matter if you were a boy or girl. We simply had a really great group of young men and women all just being mates. Great memory.
Do you have a particular role model or inspirational figure from Radford or now?
Mr Rose. My favorite teacher. His beautiful accent and the way he pronounced certain words. He was such a gentleman and so very fair and patient. I don’t think I ever heard him raise his voice. He is the reason I love reading, I think of him whilst reading to my grandson. He is also the reason I’ve always wanted to visit Mauritius.
