What does life look for you now?

Life has recently changed this year with my husband and I welcoming our first child into the world. This has obviously turned our life upside-down in the best possible way. Prior to Franklin's birth, I was working full time in a job I really enjoyed, playing social netball twice a week and meeting up with friends and family often. I intend to go back to netball and work at the end of this year, but for now I am enjoying getting to know the new little one in my world.

When you were young, what were you hoping to be when you grew up?

When I was younger I always thought about being a primary school teacher like my mum.

What is your favourite Radford moment?

Year nine camp was an extremely memorable experience. I had been dreading it for the entire year as I was not the most adventurous person but I had a fantastic time. I came out the other side having a great sense of achievement and appreciated the opportunity to get to know people who were not in my immediate friendship group a little better.

How easy was it to decide what to do in life?

I believe the education that I received at Radford gave me the ability to choose to study whatever I wanted to after school. It was not easy to decide what I wanted to do but I believe that I was lucky to have a number of doors open because of my education in High School.

Did your further study or career go exactly as you'd planned?

Actually it did. Radford set me up to do my best in the ATAR and allowed me options at university. The degree I got helped me get my first job and from there I believe that my work ethic, taught to me by my parents and learned at Radford got me further more quickly that I anticipated.

What advice do you have for current students?

While the ATAR is important, don't let it stress you out completely. If you want to go to university, there are many ways to do so. Just try your best and work it out from there.

Where are you now?
