What does life look for you now?

Balancing family life with a full time career leading a diverse team of HR professionals and enjoying all the beautiful natural resources the Gold Coast has to offer...stunning beaches and tropical rainforest!

Tell us what you are passionate about?

Trying new restaurants and new foods, wine & gin tasting, cooking, yoga, wellness and catching up with friends

When you were young, what were you hoping to be when you grew up?

I wanted to work in Child Care

What is your favourite Radford moment?

All the outdoor adventure trips. Central Australia Trip in Year 11 with Craddock and H...still makes me laugh!

Do you have a particular role model or inspirational figure from Radford or now?

Mr Fraser - always believed in me
Mr Craddock - passionate, funny and true to himself
The person I currently draw inspiration from is Brene Brown. She is a thought leader in the power of vulnerability. Fantastic insights for any current or aspiring leader.

How easy was it to decide what to do in life?

At the time easy but my career goals changed over time.

Did your further study or career go exactly as you'd planned?

I studied child care and started waitressing while I was studying. I ended up working in Restaurants / Hotel Food & Bev for 11 years and achieved qualifications in Hospitality Management. I always enjoyed training and coaching others and completed qualifications in this area prior to moving into HR where I have spent the last 15+ years.

What do you know now, that you wish you'd known when you were at Radford?

Careers are diverse and there are so many professions that are not mainstream so it's ok not to know what you want to do as long as you keep trying new things to find your true passions.

What advice do you have for current students?

Follow your passions to find a career you love...think outside the box!

Anything else that you would like to share?

I am a leadership coach and support current and aspiring leaders to develop technical and soft skills. Balancing professional and person development. Learning is a lifelong journey. I’ve been mentoring for the last 5 years and love helping others find their passion, their unique niche and work towards achieving their dream career.
