What does life look for you now?
I travelled extensively through Europe and South East Asia then studied a Bachelor of Nursing, graduating in 2013. For the next few years I worked at Royal Melbourne hospital specialising in reconstructive plastics and trauma
nursing.
A couple of years ago I decided it was time to push myself outside my comfort zone. I packed up my life in Melbourne and bought a
one-way ticket to Europe - highlights included walking the Camino and backpacking in Southern Africa.
In June 2017 I landed on Lesvos, initially volunteering with the One Happy Family Community Centre but soon started working with Medecins
Sans Frontiers as a nurse in their Victims of Torture and Sexual Violence Clinic.
I recently returned (temporarily) to Australia but will continue working in refugee and migration health.
