Siobhan McKenna, Class of 1989, appointed Australia’s Consul-General in New York

Currently serving as Chair of Australia Post, Ms McKenna brings extensive leadership experience across both the corporate and public sectors. Her distinguished career has included senior executive roles with News Corp, as well as appointments as Chair of NBN Co and a number of other significant Australian organisations.

The appointment will see Siobhan represent Australia’s interests in one of the nation’s most important international diplomatic and economic postings. Speaking in New York during the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Albanese described Siobhan as an outstanding professional whose experience in both the private and public sectors made her exceptionally well qualified for the role.

As a member of the Radford College Class of 1989, Siobhan’s appointment is a testament to the impact that Radford alumni continue to make on the national and international stage. Her leadership, strategic vision and commitment to public service serve as an inspiration for current students and fellow Collegians alike.
