What does life look for you now?
I have completed two degrees Bachelor of Language and Master of Teaching. I have worked in jobs using both languages and teaching. I also worked part time while I was studying.
Now that I am a teacher I think back on my two Japanese language teachers Ms Sharp and Ms Burgess. Language is the most amazing thing to learn, you can track the progress you make. It has been a while since learning Japanese however I know that the foundation knowledge of the culture and language will stay with me forever.
In my undergraduate degree I had the chance to study Korean, Spanish and Mandarin.
What is your favourite Radford moment?
My favourite times at Radford were my Japanese classes. It was enjoyable to receive Japanese and other international exchange students. I also have many cherished artworks from art class.
What advice do you have for current students?
Do your best. Everyone is different and the unique things about us are what make us interesting. Take the chances that present themselves to you. The chance may only come once. Keep your eyes wide open to the opportunities you have in life. I believe that school is about learning and about community. School is part of life the memory will start to fade away.
